Each fall, Quincy Medical Center hosts a fundraising walk to support the Marie A. Curry Fund, a permanent endowed Fund at Quincy Medical Center, focused on encouraging prevention and early detection of cancer and enhancing access to vital cancer screenings and services for uninsured and underinsured women and men.

FREE DIABETES SCREENING

2nd Tuesday of each month, beginning February 12

11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., The Diabetes Center at Quincy Medical Center, A 4. For more information, call 617-376-5494.

DIABETES SELF-MANAGEMENT EDUCATION PROGRAM

This is a comprehensive outpatient nutrition program for patients with diabetes.  The program reviews nutrition, blood glucose monitoring, wound management and understanding insulin administration.  Physician referral is required.  For more information or to register, call 617-376-5494.

HIV Testing

Quincy South Shore AIDS Cares offers free, anonymous and confidential testing. Walk-ins welcome on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. or appointments are available Monday through Thursday. Call 617-376-5462.
